Project Management

CMAS provides construction project management services and to do so, we work closely with owners, architects, engineers, and other construction consultants to provide seamless integration between all stages of the construction process. Programme Management

Given our unmatched expertise in implementation of construction developments, and having played a leading role in running some of the most complex projects, we bring real insights and experience while offering advice on matters touching on construction programme formulation, review and management throughout the life of the project.

What It Entails

• -Constructability reviews which are used to determine and improve the construction plans and specifications in order to identify and mitigate on-site problems e.g. site and accessibility constraints. Our reviews also touch on matters of safety, quality, productivities for various tasks and activities
• - Review and determination of design and information milestones such as deadlines for provision of construction information to contractors, timing of geotechnical investigations and submissions of technical data by contractors.
• - Preparation of purchasing and procurement plans for long lead items, assessment of available options for overseas manufacturing of temporary and permanent materials and delivery schedules for permanent plant.
• - Preparation of comprehensive performance programmes including work breakdown structures, activity identification, durations, responsibilities and resources. The performance programmes are developed with the intention of accurately capturing dynamic changes, such as effects of delays. The programmes include mobilisation plans and method statements.
• - Management and coordination of multiple contractors and subcontractors.

Quantity Surveying

CMAS has a comprehensive understanding of quantity surveying, project cost and factors that influence project costs. We tailor our onsite quantity surveying and cost control service to meet the clients' needs.

Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)

With the increase in the complexity of construction projects, there has been an increase in the disputes arising. CMAS has vast experience in dispute avoidance and resolution arising from our team members collective experience. Led by our Managing Partner - QS Robert Mathenge, we have been involved as arbitrators, adjudicators and have been also called up as expert witnesses in a number of these processes.
